Dr. Michael Bell and
Dr. Ted Johnson of Carolinas Center for Weight Loss Surgery are both board certified by the American Board of Surgery. They are both members of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. They have been certified as Center of Excellence Surgeons by the ASMBS. They have a special interest in bariatric surgery and have currently performed over 700 weight loss surgical procedures. Both Drs. Bell and Johnson are Lap-Band Total Care Certified, a designation that distinguishes our After Surgery Care and the only one in Eastern North Carolina. Our bariatric team is dedicated to a team approach to medical care. They maintain close relationships with their patients’ primary care physicians, as well as other bariatric team members like our dieticians and psychologists.
